Spiritual guidance and counseling

  • Many times in life, especially during times of change, challenge, and transition, we need advice, help in resolving a problem, or assistance and relief. We cannot always be a burden to those closest to us. Sometimes, it is precisely in the most intimate places that we seek an objective and neutral professional who can provide support in a non-judgmental manner and offer the advice and guidance needed in a crisis situation. In these places, I am there for you.

  • What I do is to enable dialogue, collaboration, emotional flow, and the resolution of potholes and conflicts both within the soul and in creating optimal communication with the world. I offer deep and respectful listening and treatment through practicing consciousness with diverse tools in order to allow the person to identify within themselves the strengths and abilities that can lead them to deal with the crisis situation and find renewed meaning in their lives.

In our meetings, I use a variety of methods: conversations, guided imagery, mediation and enabling, meditation and mindfulness practice, journey therapy, Life Coaching (life coaching in crisis situations), Life Intervention (intervention in extreme situations), conducting rituals, listening to music, prayers, reading and writing texts, and bibliotherapy (therapy using the written word). If necessary, I will offer group work, intervention circles, medical treatments, mind-body treatments, and empowerment workshops.

I accompany you through listening, observing, and remaining non-critical. I am with you in the pain, in the crisis, also in and out of silence and beyond thought.

The essence of my work is identifying your complete place, of what is with you all the time, what is in you that exists permanently within the transient, identifying your unity, your constant being.

  • Spiritual guidance and counseling is not psychological therapy.

Spiritual guidance is a meeting between a guide and a guide, and is intended for those who are at a crossroads that raises questions, for those seeking meaning in life, support and guidance in the process of choosing the next step.

Spiritual guidance is intended for those experiencing a daily crisis and seeking a bright spot within a new reality that has been forced upon them.

The spiritual guide approaches the guidance process in a "clean" manner, open and present, accepting and non-judgmental, without assuming the existence of any problem that requires "fixing."

In spiritual guidance, the boundaries between the guide and the person being guided are not rigid; the relationship is transparent and open, intimate and equal. The framework is flexible and can change according to the wishes and needs of the person being guided.

Personal Guidance along The Circle of Life

Our life cycle is full of stations, events, and stages that present us with new challenges, typical issues, and unique struggles. Again and again throughout our lives we encounter dilemmas and conflicts. We are required to choose the right path in a constantly changing reality. The changes we encounter along the way can lead to growth, improvement, and progress rather than loss and crisis.

  • Together we will navigate and address personal, marital, extended family, multi-generational and proffesional/business crisis and complex situations, for example:
Questions that arise before a marital commitment: moving to cohabitation, a partnership agreement and marriage yes or no, open relationships (polyamory) or monogamous, and more.
Relationships and family : pregnancy and childbirth, fertilization processes, surrogacy and/or adoption of children. Parenting a first child, adding another child, co-parenting, burnout in a relationship.
Dealing with adolescents : preparation for the processes and rituals of puberty (Bar Bat Mitzvah), transitioning to high school, identity and gender issues, dealing with recantation/questioning, conscription and discharge from the military, addictions, violence and suicide in adolescence.
Changes in family structure : due to separation, opening up relationships, coming out of the closet, death, divorce or emptying the nest, questions surrounding sexual identity, cultural and religious identity, relocation, immigration and conversion.
Deliberations around challenges and crises on other topics: such as: midlife crisis, Chapter 2, career change, grandmothering, conversion, dismissal or loss of a job, and retirement.
Issues of identity and meaning : Holidays, observances, and ceremonies, celebrations, days of remembrance - how do we choose to mark significant events?
Coping with loss, bereavement, and grief surrounding serious, life-threatening illnesses and chronic diseases.
Aging processes and losses due to old age and terminal illnesses.
Processes of farewell to life and preparation for the end of life - yours or that of a loved one.

  • We meet for conversations, practice guided imagery, use meditation and mindfulness, Life Coaching, Life Intervention, rituals, prayers, texts and bibliotherapy, music and a veriaty of support techniques.

  • I meet with you at the most convenient place for you: My clinic, my home, your home, in a neutral place like a cafe, park or beach, in the delivery room, in the hospital, in the nursing home/assisted living, in the geriatric/nursing department, in the rehabilitation center and in the hospice. We work together in a direct face-to-face meeting and when that is not possible, we meet via Zoom, Skype, Hang Out and by phone.

Together we will address and deal with personal, marital, family and business crisises and other challenging situations such as:

Questions that arise before a marital commitment: moving to cohabitation, a partnership agreement, and marriage.

Transition from a relationship to a family: before and after birth, during fertilization processes, surrogacy and/or adoption of children.

Dealing with adolescents: preparation for the processes and rituals of puberty and coming of age (Bar Bat Mitzvah), transitioning to high school, identity and gender issues, conscription and discharge from the military, addictions, violence and suicide in adolescence.

Changes in family structure: due to separation, polyamouria, coming out, death, divorce, sexual identity, cultural and religious identity, relocation, immigration and conversion.

Deliberations around challenges and crises in other areas: such as; career change, dismissal or job loss, and retirement.

Coping with loss, bereavement, and grief surrounding serious, life-threatening illnesses and chronic diseases .

Support for aging processes and losses due to old age and terminal illnesses.

Support, accompaniment and assistance in the processes of farewell to life and preparation for the end of life  - yours or that of a loved one.

" I believe that it is my duty to provide spiritual guidance to every person who chooses me as a guide. I believe in the power of my faith to create small miracles and change reality.

Giving to every person and every living creature, generously and without bias, is the basis for human happiness. For human existence.

Giving is the antidote to the deep sadness and distress of both the recipient and the giver.

To truly give yourself to someone is to find meaning in your life."

"Spiritual care (chaplaincy) means providing spiritual support to people in their homes, in various health, educational and welfare institutions during stages of crisis and transition in the physical-medical, social or personal fields, using tools of shared learning, meditation, poetry and discourse, adapted to the spiritual worldview of the person we are accompanying and their environment, in order to strengthen their spiritual resilience in the processes that the patient and their circle of reference are going through."
